A direct communication link between the module and charging stations supports dependable exchange of data and management commands. The building network can be used, but a dedicated independent link is recommended.
Internet access is required only when public transactional charging is planned, allowing compatible stations to communicate with OCPP servers and mobile applications.
Final charger count, network architecture, peak-reduction results and the ability to avoid electrical-service modifications depend on the building load profile, charger specifications, communications design and project-specific engineering.
